How To Start a Podcast For Free

Oh boy, this is just what I have wanted to do in a long time. Yes I have a youtube channel and a blog, but I want to do something more. Starting a podcast is a fun little project. It’s almost like you are taking the time to run a radio station and broadcast just you. Doing this is a just another project of love and passion. By using the tech that I already have just like millions of other folks out there, I have created the official DnicholsonTV podcast called Tech and Stuff. Let me explain how. 

By doing a few internet searches I found Podomatic in a review site about podcasting for free. I went and downloaded the app and visited the website. After a good look at the app and website I decided I would give it a try. Of course I was in no way a professional but I feel that my first show came out OK. I even mention in the show that I will get better with time. It’s just like any other task that a person takes on, no experience means a rough draft at first. 

All in all I enjoyed creating my profile as well as recording my first show. Here is a screen shot of my site on podomatic.

The app has a direct record and upload button so no wondering how to use it. 


Starting anything new can be terrifying for some people. Just remember on a podcast you are not seen, only heard. Also there are always ways to edit and polish your podcast before you upload. If you feel like doing something outside your comfort zone, this just may be the hobby for you.

The Surf Onn Gen 2 7 inch tablet from Walmart is exactly what you'd expect from a Walmart tablet. The screen is decent but not great and the apps tend to crash from time to time. I bought the base model for $49 and got 2gb of RAM and 16gb of internal storage that was actually 11 from the pre installed apps.  As for usage the tablet performed well enough to be considered a nice entry level tablet and I feel the kids could use this as a cheap dedicated YouTube machine. I’m Attending Southern New Hampshire University Online

 Hello friends. I’ve been doing some thinking lately. Although I do have a job it’s just a part time job and that leaves me with some free time. The job that I have isn’t the job that I’d like to retire from for sure. I just haven’t been happy with where my life has taken me. I felt it was time to make a few changes. Well I got online and looked for the best online colleges that I could find. I found a few and even tried one that didn’t work out.  Southern New Hampshire University seemed to be a good fit. The cost was dramatically less than other online schools. It does have a brick and mortar school that can be attended. And the reviews for the school aren’t all horrible. In other words it isn’t a diploma mill.  I’m only in my first class so far and it is a class about cultural diversity. I guess that’s a pretty good class for someone majoring in psychology. Dollar Shave Club Six Blade Razor

 So I used to use Harrys razors. I used Harrys for quite a few years. Then something changed about the blades. They started cutting me and at times cutting me pretty bad. The moisturizing strip also started falling off all of the time. This was happening during the first shave of the blade too. I was having to change brand new blades all of the time. It got ridiculous. I decided I had enough of the Harrys razors and made the switch to Dollar Shave Club.  Now I am not going to say that everything I write or say about Dollar Shave Club will be the same experience you’ll get but maybe it will help you make a decision to try them out for yourselves. Now I read a ton of reviews about Dollar Shave Club six blade razor. Most of the reviews are negative unless you find the ones that are promotional reviews.
