AirPods VS Beats Flex

Image
Apple AirPods have set the bar for wireless earbuds. It often seems that the imitation brands popping up everywhere have tried but fallen short of making any type of lasting impression on listeners. Will there ever be another earbud that rivals Apple in the quest of music listening pleasure? The answer is yes, and that brand is none other than Apple. Wait, how can Apple rival Apple? Well as many know there is another brand that Apple sells called Beats. Yes, those Beats, Beats by Dre. In 2014 Apple acquired Beats and now sells them in their very own stores and at Walmart and other retailers.  Beats Flex cost a whole whopping $50 which is more than half off the price of AirPods. These things sound amazing, work well, and offer the same features. But can they stand up to the test? In this video AirPods VS Beats Flex we will answer that question. Watch and find out the answer for yourself.

Are Apple Products The Best

Image
Just to get this out of the way I am an Apple fan one hundred percent. I love everything that Apple has to offer and in no way want to switch back to PC. But, do I think that YOU would think Apple is the best? That is a good question.  Unsplash.com There are a few reasons I like Apple as much as I do and I want to share them with you. One reason is of course design. Let’s be honest there simply isn’t a better looking computer on the market. Apple has the best looking laptops and desktops out there. The machine finished aluminum design makes even the hardest to impress drool at the site. From the simple iPhone line to the high end Mac line Apple has the market cornered on sheer beauty.  Next I love the integration of the products. I can start writing an article or making a video on my iPhone, then move over to my iPad, and finish up on my MacBook. It’s really that simple. All Apple products play so nice together and sync up so easily using iCloud. All you have to do is simply log in whe

Is LumaFusion a Viable Substitute for Final Cut Pro X

Image
Looking at the LumaFusion program we can see that it is very similar in looks to Final Cut Pro. Online most reviews call it a great editing program, and in fact it is. With this software you can edit together footage loaded on to your iPad and add titles, green screen effects, music, sound effects, transitions, work with the sound, and export in 4k. As a mobile video editor this beats out ALL others I have tried. iMovie what’s that? Most video editors love to use this software when they are traveling as a substitute for Final Cut. After all taking an iPad with you is a lot easier than taking a laptop.  With iPads touch screen capabilities using LumaFusion is a breeze since it is designed for touch interaction. Sliding clips into place and opening up new windows comes naturally if you are used to touch interface. The software is optimized for mobile allowing it run super fast and export 4K footage in record times. LumaFusion has some limited control o

IPad Pro or MacBook Pro For College 2020

Image
There is NO time like NOW to begin looking around the stores for school supplies. New clothes and shoes, maybe some paper and pens, and of course some technology. But wait.... as you look over the giant sea of tablets and laptops you may become overwhelmed by the huge selection. No problem. Just head over to the local apple store and pick up an iPad or MacBook. In this video I compare the two devices to help you decide if one triumphs over the other for your needs this fall. Both are excellent choices of course but the iPad can be a scanner, camera, note taker, web browser, notebook, art canvas, instrument, studio, and more. The MacBook is a powerhouse for pro level photo editing, video editing, and other desktop exclusive software. The MacBook is also a great machine for typing up documents or papers and conducting research for those papers just like the iPad. Hopefully this look into daily use of each device helps you sort out those confused feelings about what may be in your b

Is The 2020 iPad Pro a Laptop Replacement

Image
I recently went out to my local iPad and iPhone store (US Cellular) with the intent to purchase the iPad Air 3rd generation but found myself leaving with the latest and greatest Apple tablet available. Now I’m not sure how this happened except for my unquestionable, unquenchable, and undeniable desire  to buy Apple products. I will admit that I LOVE Apple. Some people watch football, others get tattoos, while some love cars, me, I’m an Apple guy. My wife says I’m addicted and I have to admit, the argument is leaning in her favor. However, the new iPad Pro of the year 2020 is at first glance a device of beauty. Like the 2018 iPad we have a more squared off edge look and rounded corners. The pencil again charges magnetically while not in use and the ASK 2020 is available and works fine on the 2018 also. Of course you could spring for the new magic floating keyboard for a bit over $300 (I did NOT) so the device sits elevated above the keyboard. Just a hint here but the 2018 iPad Pro wil

Apple Rumors For 2018

Image
What is new for Apple this year? How does the company plan on packing enough punch to beat last years releases? Lets take a look into the rumor mill that is surrounding this falls releases.  So many have speculated that Apple will refresh the iPad mini and call it the iPad mini Pro. Not sure if tis is a great idea being that iPad mini is just that, mini. I can’t think of to many pro users who would want the screen size that the mini has to offer. One thing that would be nice though is if the iPad mini did get a fresh update considering how it has been left on the back burner receiving minor updates since it’s launch.  The iPhone X is rumored to be getting the plus treatment. For me this isn’t a major thing. I am not a fan of the full screen iPhone or it’s price tag. The screen on the iPhone is already the largest screen Apple has put on a phone and really doesn’t need to be larger. With a price tag of $1000, I’m sure if the it goes supersized, the price tag will go supersiz

iPad Pro 9.7 vs iPad 2017 9.7

Image
iPad Pro 9.7 vs iPad 2017 9.7 I’ve been wondering what makes an iPad Pro a Pro. I’ve done some homework by reading a few articles and watching a few videos and I’ve come to the conclusion that you may not need to spend the big money on the Pro model. I personally use an iPad 2017 for all of my iPad needs and since I like using a laptop for writing I have never bought a keyboard for any heavy writing on my iPad. Lets get into what I’ve learned so far.  I will start out with the iPad 2017, my choice of a new iPad. This tablet is great at doing tablet things. I can surf the web, check eMail, watch videos, and so much more. Getting into heavier lifting isn’t out of the question either. With just a simple visit to the AppStore you can be editing videos on iMovie and editing photographs with PhotoShop express. You can write articles, school papers, and balance your finances with the Apple Office Suite or download Microsoft Office 365 with just a few touches on the Retina display.

A Visit To The Apple Store

Image
A Visit To The Apple Store  The Power Of The Apple  My First Step Into The Apple Store Waiting On Our Apple Genius Today was a good day. I got to go visit an Apple Store for the first time. It was just as amazing as I had thought it would be. I know to some this may seem a little silly to be so happy about, but still the fact remains I really enjoy Apple products and have always wanted to visit a real Apple Store.  The reason I traveled the two hours to visit a store is another story. I had been noticing a diminishing sound quality in my iPhone 8 since I got it. I really hadn’t thought much about it until recently when I went to AT&T and had one of the store technicians look at it. He assured me that it was in fact not working properly and advised me to call the 1-800-MYIPHONE help line. I did call and didn’t get the answers I was needing with Apple Support over the phone. Now of course they where very polite and did honestly try their best to help me by runni

My iPad Air is Good Enough For Me

Image
My iPad Air is Good Enough For Me To be honest I feel at times like I need to make a purchase, a new iPad. I have been using the iPad Air for a long time it seems. Notice I said iPad Air with no 2 after it. That’s right, I use the original iPad Air for all my tablet needs. I have Microsoft Word downloaded on it along with some games and a Gmail app.  Mostly I use my iPad for web browsing and email, nothing more. I know if I was to go out and buy a brand new iPad Pro I’d still only use it for the same things, so I can’t really justify that type of purchase.  So many articles are on the web just praising the new iPad Pro for everything from more power, to even replacing the laptop as a personal computer. In a way, I can understand how some people would like to use a tablet for their everyday computer. I mean, lets look at this in their eyes for a moment. Light weight, compact, Apple iOS, touch screen, and enough power for everyday use. Sounds like a great deal for me.

Apple iPhone 8 My Thoughts

Image
Apple iPhone 8 My Thoughts    Let’s talk about the iPhone. After using the iPhone 5c a few years back I decided it was time for an upgrade. Of course at that time I was still new to the iPhone scene and enjoyed using the smaller size. When my “contract” was up with AT&T I went in looking for a new iPhone because I had fallen in love with iOS. To my surprise they only had the iPhone 6 and 6s available at the time and they where just to big for me to enjoy. I mean, after all, I was accustomed to a smaller phone after using the 5c for so long.  After browsing the store looking at all of my selections the sales rep advised me to try an Android based phone if I wanted a smaller handset. “Oh No” he was pushing the other guys…… I immediately stopped that train and told him I wanted an iPhone. So the salesperson then advised me that the new iPhone SE was coming out and it was the same size as the older iPhones. Of course I was excited and waited it out.  Here we are again
