Apple Store Visit Skit and Big Channel Update

Image
So I've been thinking a lot about this little video. I downloaded the images from a free image sharing sight called Unsplash.com and came up with an idea of visiting an Apple Store to actually buy a product. This isn't how it would be in real life but I feel that it would be similar.  As for the big news, my wife and I bought a pop up camper and are looking to travel during our off days from work. We have the luxury to actually have four to five days off and two to three days on each week. So any given week week we are off for four days minimum. I thought man, we could hit the road every week and have mini vacation in our camper for basically free. Then I got to thinking we could have a small travel series called van life or camper life on YouTube. What a great idea!!! Stay tuned for next week because next week will be the start to all of this.   Please check our podcast on the podcast page or where ever you listen to your podcast. Can an iPad Pro Replace My MacBook

Image
The MacBook VS iPad Pro debate continues in a heated way. Many people are suggesting yes, it has replaced their MacBooks or laptops and have never looked back. With the pros and cons coming in with time each individual needs to weigh carefully on which device will suit their needs. With Apple pushing the iPad as a true computer replacement many have fallen victim to their marketing and rushed out to buy an iPad without hesitation. Now don’t get me wrong I am a firm believer in the amazing power of the iPad (I’m writing this article on my 10.5 inch iPad Pro right now) but I just haven’t been able to fully replace my MacBook either. Some features that I like about the iPad are cellular, ease of use, size, and the App Store. Things I don’t like about the iPad are no USB support for extended memory, no guest sign in account, and lack of full desktop webpages and software. Now of course I can use my iPad Pro for most of my daily tasks such as emails, web surfing, writing my blog, an

Working on The YouTube Channel

Image
So here I am working on yet another YouTube channel. So far I only have 1 subscriber but I am getting a few views. To be honest that’s exactly what I want anyway. You can have a ton of subscribers but if they aren’t watching the videos then what good are they. Anyway, so far I have 4 videos up and counting.  I do all my filming on my iPhone 8 as of right now. I then use the AirDrop feature that Apple products have (I think its just BlueTooth in disguise) and move them over to my 2017 iPad. I do all my light editing on the iPad such as simple cuts, and clip placements. After I create the movie I again transfer the file on to my MacBook and finish the product such as adding any music, title cards, and upload it to YouTube.  To some this may seem like a weird process to use to make a simple YouTube video but it works for me.  I once had a few hundred subscribers on my old channel but was getting very few views. After I stopped and deleted my channel I now have a new opp

Why Apple Is The Best

Image
Why I Choose Apple Apple products are truly a great buy. Yes they my more expensive but they also work great, last longer, and connect better. Apple Inc. has been a long standing company in the US and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.  Apple helps buyers choose the device that is good for their needs. Most stores nowadays don’t have the employees on staff to spend time explaining products to customers, but Apple does and will take the time. Each and every Apple Store employee is knowledgeable about their products and will take the time to find out your needs and then give you a suggested product that will meet those needs. Not like the other stores that give you a person that doesn’t understand the products, if you get help at all.  Apple products go together seamlessly. I never understood or even cared about the Apple ecosystem until I experienced it myself. My apps download on my iPad and iPhone at the same time, hand off makes it easy to switch devices and work on

iPad Pro 9.7 vs iPad 2017 9.7

Image
iPad Pro 9.7 vs iPad 2017 9.7 I’ve been wondering what makes an iPad Pro a Pro. I’ve done some homework by reading a few articles and watching a few videos and I’ve come to the conclusion that you may not need to spend the big money on the Pro model. I personally use an iPad 2017 for all of my iPad needs and since I like using a laptop for writing I have never bought a keyboard for any heavy writing on my iPad. Lets get into what I’ve learned so far.  I will start out with the iPad 2017, my choice of a new iPad. This tablet is great at doing tablet things. I can surf the web, check eMail, watch videos, and so much more. Getting into heavier lifting isn’t out of the question either. With just a simple visit to the AppStore you can be editing videos on iMovie and editing photographs with PhotoShop express. You can write articles, school papers, and balance your finances with the Apple Office Suite or download Microsoft Office 365 with just a few touches on the Retina display.

iPad 2017 Review

Image
iPad 2017 Review After a few days of using my new 2017 iPad 9.7” I’ve got to say it is a great little device. Using this tablet could actually replace a PC for most people and this isn’t even a Pro model. For casual use the tablet does everything a PC can do. It easily surfs the web of course, checks email, and has many productive apps. I’ve so far downloaded the Microsoft Office apps, it came with the Apple Office Suite, and also downloaded the BlackBoard app for my college. So here is what I think so far.  Using Pages by Apple I write my blog posts and check them for grammar and spelling. This is what I use before I copy and paste my articles into the blogger site. The Microsoft Office apps are of course what my school requires me to use for papers and graphing. This iPad has the power to run all of these with out even trying. The BlackBoard app was a little usual at first but I have since seemed to get used to it and can easily get my school assignments, post in a discu

New 2017 iPad (Non-Pro)

Image
New 2017 iPad (Non-Pro) My New iPad 2017 Space Gray I know I wrote a post a few weeks back saying “My iPad Air is Good Enough For Me” but I found such a great deal on a 2017 iPad 9.7 I just couldn’t pass on it. Props to AT&T for making this tablet so affordable. So, here we go down the rabbit hole on a new 2017 iPad, my first impressions, and just what I think about it.  The box is a typical Apple branded box as seen in the picture. Inside we find the initial product (iPad) along with a power adapter and cord. We also find the basic Apple stickers that come with all Apple products. The iPad was wrapped in the usual plastic and of course beautiful upon first glance. I chose the space gray color to match my MacBook 12”.  After the usual first glance and excitement that it finally arrived (via UPS) I began the initial set up. The set up process was easy and fast considering that I needed to use my iCloud for the process and update the initial iOS. The wh
