Living in rural West Virginia means that for most people a cell signal anywhere close to home is only a dream. Living anywhere in West Virginia means a cell signal is either a drive away or a signal drop is the same story. 

For me I live out a back road or as we call it out the holler. As I mentioned last week this means I have to use Hughsenet internet service. The fact that this type of internet is spotty at best means I need to rely more on my cell signal. In comes the Wilson weBoost. This is a device that magnifies any type of cell signal out of your home with a antenna and allows you to run it into the house via cables. Inside is a control center that mounts on the wall and an inside antenna.  

By using this device shown in the video above I have managed to make and receive calls as well as surf the internet on a good day. To be honest my wife and I would be lost without our cell booster. The good people at Wilson have made the perfect gadget for any home out in the countrysides of our beautiful nation. 

Yes I recommend this product. The $399 up front cost seems high at first but remember there is NO monthly subscription costs nor is there any type of high tech installation involved. Mostly this device is plug and play although there are a few cables to screw onto the ends of the control center. Just buy it, try it, and love it. Thats all for this week. The Surf Onn Gen 2 7 inch tablet from Walmart is exactly what you'd expect from a Walmart tablet. The screen is decent but not great and the apps tend to crash from time to time. I bought the base model for $49 and got 2gb of RAM and 16gb of internal storage that was actually 11 from the pre installed apps.  As for usage the tablet performed well enough to be considered a nice entry level tablet and I feel the kids could use this as a cheap dedicated YouTube machine. Although folks who already have a taste for the big boy toys like the iPad or Samsung tablets may find this to be a toy.  Would I recommend this for anyone? Yes, surprisingly I would. This is a perfect entry level tablet for those who have a tight budget and need a machine to get online with for school, entertainment, kids enjoyment, or to simply apply to jobs, email, and other personal needs. This tablet will get the job done as long as its light work.

I’m Attending Southern New Hampshire University Online

 Hello friends. I’ve been doing some thinking lately. Although I do have a job it’s just a part time job and that leaves me with some free time. The job that I have isn’t the job that I’d like to retire from for sure. I just haven’t been happy with where my life has taken me. I felt it was time to make a few changes. Well I got online and looked for the best online colleges that I could find. I found a few and even tried one that didn’t work out.  Southern New Hampshire University seemed to be a good fit. The cost was dramatically less than other online schools. It does have a brick and mortar school that can be attended. And the reviews for the school aren’t all horrible. In other words it isn’t a diploma mill.  I’m only in my first class so far and it is a class about cultural diversity. I guess that’s a pretty good class for someone majoring in psychology. Overcoming Depression

This week I decided to continue a series on depression. There are ways to help relieve some of the symptoms of depression. Finding a hobby or simply petting an animal can help overcome severe depression. In this video I discuss ways to overcome depression and help relieve some of the symptoms. I am no doctor nor am I a therapist but I live with chronic depression and bipolar disorder. I've lived with this since I was fourteen and I am now forty three. I know what depression is and I know what helps me. Sometimes depression wins while other times I can manage to force myself into doing something. I feel better after I use the tips from the video.
