iPad Pro or MacBook Pro Rethinking

So recently I have been using the iPad Pro 10.5 inch a ton. I started school at Full Sail University and they sent me a 2018 iPad 9.7 inch as well as a 2018 MacBook Pro 15 inch with Touch Bar included. I don’t use the iPad due to having an iPad Pro and trust me I love my iPad Pro. I have the Apple Keyboard and a nice stylus to use along with it. I even downloaded the new iPad OS. Everything about the iPad Pro is amazing.......but. There are those days when I need to pull out the MacBook Pro and use it. Whenever I do I realize how much better the experience is using a real laptop. A mean, using s Mac is like riding in a limo, while using an iPad is like riding in a really nice car but not a limo. The MacBook just feels and looks like a true work of art. The OS is smooth and the keyboard is so much better than the Smart Keyboard on my iPad. The software that I use such as Final Draft, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Motion, and After Effects work amazingly well and not even ava

Can an iPad Pro Replace My MacBook

Image
The MacBook VS iPad Pro debate continues in a heated way. Many people are suggesting yes, it has replaced their MacBooks or laptops and have never looked back. With the pros and cons coming in with time each individual needs to weigh carefully on which device will suit their needs. With Apple pushing the iPad as a true computer replacement many have fallen victim to their marketing and rushed out to buy an iPad without hesitation. Now don’t get me wrong I am a firm believer in the amazing power of the iPad (I’m writing this article on my 10.5 inch iPad Pro right now) but I just haven’t been able to fully replace my MacBook either. Some features that I like about the iPad are cellular, ease of use, size, and the App Store. Things I don’t like about the iPad are no USB support for extended memory, no guest sign in account, and lack of full desktop webpages and software. Now of course I can use my iPad Pro for most of my daily tasks such as emails, web surfing, writing my blog, an

iPhone XR Review

Image
Look at this great looking iPhone XR! A budget phone? I do not think so! For the low, low price of $749 for the basic 64 gig version this affordable budget phone can be yours. Thats right $749 for this so called budget phone. Apple created this phone for one reason, to make money. The iPhone XR is a great phone none the less. It has almost all the same features as the iPhone XS and XS Max. The difference is in the screen and the back camera lenses. Of course this isn't to say that the screen is bad or the camera is bad. Both of these features are excellent in every way. The XR has a slightly bigger screen than the XS and uses an LCD screen where the XS has an OLED screen. The XRs screen does not support 3D Touch either. I have been using the XR for a few days and found that I don't miss the 3D Touch and never really used it to begin with. As for the camera differences I found that the XR has a single camera on the back of it while the XS has two cameras. This does sli

Pyle Cheap Home Projector That Works Great

The Pyle Home Projector is a great addition to my home office. At times when I am writing my blog or editing my Youtube videos I enjoy a quick episode of Seinfeld or watch a YouTube video for a quick break from the normal work schedule. I have included a link for this item on Amazon.com so you can check it out for yourself. The Line is above.  As you will find it comes in at $49.99 and has a 2 1/2 star rating only. Why you may ask does it have only 2 1/2 stars? Well, I'll tell you why. If you are planning to use this for school or business Keynotes, Powerpoint presentations then don't buy it. This will not focus quite enough for those types of duties. If you are wanting to use this for outdoor events such as family BBQ and movie nights under the stars then forget it. This is truly great for indoor use in a family room for watching Netflix, YouTube and other streaming services. So far I have really enjoyed this device in my ManCave of such and watched hours of YouTube and C

MacOS Mojave First Impressions and Review

Today I updated my MacBook to the new Mojave OS. Now I haven't had much of a chance to use this new OS but I do have a first impression of what I've found. For starters I do like having the option of the light or dark setting. At first when I downloaded the new OS during initial set up I was asked if I wanted to go light or dark. I of course being curious chose the dark setting, being that I've never before seen it. I tried it out for a moment or two then went into the system preferences to change it back to light. Upon setting up your new OS you may want to go with the dark setting yourself to give it a try. I do recommend doing this to see if you like it. If not no worries I will tell you how to change it back. Simply go to your system preferences, choose general, and on the top row there will be an option for changing from light to dark and back again. Very simple to switch them back and forth. Another new feature I like is the news app from iOS has made it over to

Working on The YouTube Channel

Image
So here I am working on yet another YouTube channel. So far I only have 1 subscriber but I am getting a few views. To be honest that’s exactly what I want anyway. You can have a ton of subscribers but if they aren’t watching the videos then what good are they. Anyway, so far I have 4 videos up and counting.  I do all my filming on my iPhone 8 as of right now. I then use the AirDrop feature that Apple products have (I think its just BlueTooth in disguise) and move them over to my 2017 iPad. I do all my light editing on the iPad such as simple cuts, and clip placements. After I create the movie I again transfer the file on to my MacBook and finish the product such as adding any music, title cards, and upload it to YouTube.  To some this may seem like a weird process to use to make a simple YouTube video but it works for me.  I once had a few hundred subscribers on my old channel but was getting very few views. After I stopped and deleted my channel I now have a new opp

New YouTube Channel

David Nicholson Good news everyone! I have restarted my Youtube Channel and posted the link above. Please go and subscribe and if you have any suggestions for future videos please leave them in the comments below. It has been a long time coming I know, but I have been battling with the depression that comes with Bipolar disorder and just haven't had the energy or will power to get it up and going again. I hope that I can keep it going this time and continue to help it grow. I really haven't had any great ideas for content so I guess it will just be a variety of things that interest me until I build it up and start getting ideas from viewers of from YOU my readers. Some things that do interest me are of course Apple products, Vape gear, technology of any kind, travel, the Bible, and television shows. So I guess I have that much to work with for now. Keeping a YouTube channel going isn't anything easy. It requires commitment, time, and a constant watch for interesting con
