iPad 2017 Review

iPad 2017 Review After a few days of using my new 2017 iPad 9.7” I’ve got to say it is a great little device. Using this tablet could actually replace a PC for most people and this isn’t even a Pro model. For casual use the tablet does everything a PC can do. It easily surfs the web of course, checks email, and has many productive apps. I’ve so far downloaded the Microsoft Office apps, it came with the Apple Office Suite, and also downloaded the BlackBoard app for my college. So here is what I think so far.  Using Pages by Apple I write my blog posts and check them for grammar and spelling. This is what I use before I copy and paste my articles into the blogger site. The Microsoft Office apps are of course what my school requires me to use for papers and graphing. This iPad has the power to run all of these with out even trying. The BlackBoard app was a little usual at first but I have since seemed to get used to it and can easily get my school assignments, post in a discu

New 2017 iPad (Non-Pro)

New 2017 iPad (Non-Pro) My New iPad 2017 Space Gray I know I wrote a post a few weeks back saying “My iPad Air is Good Enough For Me” but I found such a great deal on a 2017 iPad 9.7 I just couldn’t pass on it. Props to AT&T for making this tablet so affordable. So, here we go down the rabbit hole on a new 2017 iPad, my first impressions, and just what I think about it.  The box is a typical Apple branded box as seen in the picture. Inside we find the initial product (iPad) along with a power adapter and cord. We also find the basic Apple stickers that come with all Apple products. The iPad was wrapped in the usual plastic and of course beautiful upon first glance. I chose the space gray color to match my MacBook 12”.  After the usual first glance and excitement that it finally arrived (via UPS) I began the initial set up. The set up process was easy and fast considering that I needed to use my iCloud for the process and update the initial iOS. The wh

A Visit To The Apple Store

A Visit To The Apple Store  The Power Of The Apple  My First Step Into The Apple Store Waiting On Our Apple Genius Today was a good day. I got to go visit an Apple Store for the first time. It was just as amazing as I had thought it would be. I know to some this may seem a little silly to be so happy about, but still the fact remains I really enjoy Apple products and have always wanted to visit a real Apple Store.  The reason I traveled the two hours to visit a store is another story. I had been noticing a diminishing sound quality in my iPhone 8 since I got it. I really hadn’t thought much about it until recently when I went to AT&T and had one of the store technicians look at it. He assured me that it was in fact not working properly and advised me to call the 1-800-MYIPHONE help line. I did call and didn’t get the answers I was needing with Apple Support over the phone. Now of course they where very polite and did honestly try their best to help me by runni

Harrys.com Razor Review

Image
Harrys.com Razor Review This is an article all about shaving. I’m almost forty at this point in my life and have used everything from Gillette, Dollar General razors, Bic, Family Dollar razors, and Wal-Mart plus many others I’m sure. I have to shave my head and face at least every other day so I absolutely hate shaving. I’m sure a lot of other guys out there hate shaving too.  While traveling to work a few years ago I listened regularly to a radio show called Lex and Terry. These guys just gave a great show and it was geared toward men. They would advertise different products on their show for men. Harrys razors was a regular ad and I became intrigued by how well they sounded. After a few weeks of hearing the ads I became to intrigued and looked them up online at Harrys.com The site is amazingly easy to navigate and I found everything I needed easily. Actually they had a starter pack available to order right on the main page. I ordered the Truman set for $15 and shippin

The MacBook Air is Still a Great Computer

The MacBook Air is Still a Great Computer  Sleek And Beautiful  Ports We Have Them   That Glow Means Quality Let’s look at the MacBook Air. For those who still use the ports (and yes that’s most of us) the MacBook Air has ports. A standard USB port is a standard for most laptops still being manufactured today. Almost any external device supports USB and we almost always back-up our files on a USB drive. I still use a USB drive myself. I feel a “but” coming on here, but, do we really need to use a USB drive anymore? I love my MacBook Air, I really do. It has enough power and that Apple logo that glows on the back of the screen is truly a statement that makes people realize it’s an Apple. The Air is a little outdated when it comes to the screen, the keyboard, and now the trackpad as well. The price of the device is a huge selling point for those who want a MacBook but don’t want to pay the premium prices demanded by Apple. I honestly found my MacBook Air for $500 at

My iPad Air is Good Enough For Me

Image
My iPad Air is Good Enough For Me To be honest I feel at times like I need to make a purchase, a new iPad. I have been using the iPad Air for a long time it seems. Notice I said iPad Air with no 2 after it. That’s right, I use the original iPad Air for all my tablet needs. I have Microsoft Word downloaded on it along with some games and a Gmail app.  Mostly I use my iPad for web browsing and email, nothing more. I know if I was to go out and buy a brand new iPad Pro I’d still only use it for the same things, so I can’t really justify that type of purchase.  So many articles are on the web just praising the new iPad Pro for everything from more power, to even replacing the laptop as a personal computer. In a way, I can understand how some people would like to use a tablet for their everyday computer. I mean, lets look at this in their eyes for a moment. Light weight, compact, Apple iOS, touch screen, and enough power for everyday use. Sounds like a great deal for me.

Apple iPhone 8 My Thoughts

Image
Apple iPhone 8 My Thoughts    Let’s talk about the iPhone. After using the iPhone 5c a few years back I decided it was time for an upgrade. Of course at that time I was still new to the iPhone scene and enjoyed using the smaller size. When my “contract” was up with AT&T I went in looking for a new iPhone because I had fallen in love with iOS. To my surprise they only had the iPhone 6 and 6s available at the time and they where just to big for me to enjoy. I mean, after all, I was accustomed to a smaller phone after using the 5c for so long.  After browsing the store looking at all of my selections the sales rep advised me to try an Android based phone if I wanted a smaller handset. “Oh No” he was pushing the other guys…… I immediately stopped that train and told him I wanted an iPhone. So the salesperson then advised me that the new iPhone SE was coming out and it was the same size as the older iPhones. Of course I was excited and waited it out.  Here we are again
