Beats Solo Buds Review

So I recently went to my local Walmart and made a purchase. I purchased the Beats Solo Buds. I am not disappointed with my purchase.  For starters people are suggesting on reviews that there isn’t enough volume on the buds. This is simply not true at all. What people don’t realize is that these are set at approximately 50% volume when you purchase them. What you need to do is go into the Beats App on Android and into settings on the iPhone and set up your button controls. I have it set up for long presses on either side of the buds for volume up and down. Once I got this feature set up I turned my Beats Solo Buds up to 100% and they are plenty loud enough. There is no battery in the case. If you want earbuds that charge when you put them back in the case then look elsewhere. What you do get out of these is 18 hours of listening time at 50% volume. Me on the other hand got around 12 hours at full volume. With longevity like this you really don’t need to have a charging case. I...

Can an iPad Replace a Laptop

So I have the original M1 iPad Pro. It’s a 12.9 inch. I’ve been using it to surf the web, watch videos, write in my journal, check email, and now go to school. It’s been very good at doing all of these things. Of course my M1 iPad Pro isn’t a MacBook. It’s more of a tablet than a laptop. It is considered Apple’s convertible device. It can be used as both a tablet and then add a keyboard and trackpad and you have a laptop-like device.   Some people don’t think that the iPad can actually do what a laptop can. Maybe there’s a few things that the iPad can’t do but it can do most everything. I’ve been using my iPad as my main device for years now. There was only one time that I absolutely had to use my MacBook and that was for a textbook for school. It was only available on “Bookshelf” for a real full fledged operating system. The iPad unfortunately runs on iPadOS which is a spinoff from iOS used on the iPhone. These are both mobile operating systems.  I’ve been reading th...

Blogging

Image
Is blogging dead? Is there a future in blogging? I don’t have the answers to these questions. I don’t even know what blogging platform is the best to use. I write on blogger. It isn’t the fanciest website but it works for me. I get a free site, unlimited storage, I can upload my YouTube videos directly onto the blog page, and it just works. I don’t know what else to say about it.  There is one question that I found interesting about blogging. People are asking if you can blog from an iPad? I do. I may not be the best writer or the biggest blogger out there. I may not have the best website and the most views but I do write and upload to a website. Things that I like about blogging from an iPad are ease of use, and built in camera. I don’t use the blogger app, I just go to the website. I’ve never downloaded the Wordpress apps either. All I do is go to the blogger site and write.  I’m not a fancy kind of guy but I do love Apple Products very much. My idea of a great time is...

I’m Attending Southern New Hampshire University Online

Image
Hello friends. I’ve been doing some thinking lately. Although I do have a job it’s just a part time job and that leaves me with some free time. The job that I have isn’t the job that I’d like to retire from for sure. I just haven’t been happy with where my life has taken me. I felt it was time to make a few changes. Well I got online and looked for the best online colleges that I could find. I found a few and even tried one that didn’t work out.  Southern New Hampshire University seemed to be a good fit. The cost was dramatically less than other online schools. It does have a brick and mortar school that can be attended. And the reviews for the school aren’t all horrible. In other words it isn’t a diploma mill.  I’m only in my first class so far and it is a class about cultural diversity. I guess that’s a pretty good class for someone majoring in psychology. I’ve learned all about communicating with someone from a different culture than me. Culture could mean anything fr...

Dollar Shave Club Six Blade Razor

So I used to use Harrys razors. I used Harrys for quite a few years. Then something changed about the blades. They started cutting me and at times cutting me pretty bad. The moisturizing strip also started falling off all of the time. This was happening during the first shave of the blade too. I was having to change brand new blades all of the time. It got ridiculous. I decided I had enough of the Harrys razors and made the switch to Dollar Shave Club.  Now I am not going to say that everything I write or say about Dollar Shave Club will be the same experience you’ll get but maybe it will help you make a decision to try them out for yourselves. Now I read a ton of reviews about Dollar Shave Club six blade razor. Most of the reviews are negative unless you find the ones that are promotional reviews. I think that these negative reviews are from long time users of the club and are angry that they switched blades and handles. The old six blade razor was called the executive and t...

Can My 12.9 inch M1 iPad Pro Replace my MacBook

Image
I am writing this article on my 12.9 inch M1 iPad Pro. I’ve been using this iPad for a few months now and have to say that it is the best iPad I have ever owned. It’s been my go to device for all sorts of things. I’d have to say that I love owning this iPad.  Can this iPad replace a laptop? Let’s look into that a little. For starters I am a true fan of Apple products. I am the proud owner of this 12.9 inch M1 iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard case, a 2018 15 inch Intel Core i7 MacBook Pro, an iPhone 11 (I know I need to upgrade), and an Apple HomePod. As you can see I try to be completely Apple.  The things I do on my iPad Pro are pretty simple for the most part. I write in my Zenn Journal, create thumbnails for my YouTube Videos, write for this website, work on my book, read books, do some light video editing in LumaFusion, surf the web, and edit my photos (can be seen in the photography page) in PixelMator Photo. My iPad can handle all of these tasks without breaking a ...

Mental Health Help

Image
I talked to my therapist yesterday and this is what we talked about. Good advice for those who suffer from depression and bipolar disorder. What he said really made me think about the way I have trained my brain to think. It could take a lot of work to retrain my brain but I am going to give it a try. What the video talks about is all about what a person should think and what words we shouldn't be using as people who suffer from mental health disorders.

Is Depression Your Fault

Image
h I used to listen to all the wrong people. I actually believed and still do at times that my mental illness was my own fault. Power through, push through, think about something else, there's nothing wrong with you, you don't look sick, I've heard them all. I was told I was lazy, no good, useless, worthless and more. I still to this day feel that way about myself. This video talks about how this isn't our fault and that we are just sick. Being sick isn't anyones fault it just happens. Except it, take medicine, go to therapy, and live the best that we can. We can only do what our bodies and minds will lets us do.

If you are thinking about suicide then call the suicide prevention number in the video. Seek help immediately or go to the closest ER.

Depression Part 3

Image
Depression and Bipolar Disorder are real illnesses and can affect a life dramatically. In this video I talk about doing what you can, and not over doing it. I also discuss how being on a routine can help manage some of the symptoms of mental illness. July is disability pride month so lets celebrate the lives of those with a disability. Remember that people with a disability are people too. We need to come together and be the best we can be even with disabilities.

Overcoming Depression

Image
This week I decided to continue a series on depression. There are ways to help relieve some of the symptoms of depression. Finding a hobby or simply petting an animal can help overcome severe depression. In this video I discuss ways to overcome depression and help relieve some of the symptoms. I am no doctor nor am I a therapist but I live with chronic depression and bipolar disorder. I've lived with this since I was fourteen and I am now forty three. I know what depression is and I know what helps me. Sometimes depression wins while other times I can manage to force myself into doing something. I feel better after I use the tips from the video. Please watch and don't forget to subscribe.

Depression

Image
Depression is an illness no-one wants to admit to having. Everyday millions of people walk around with depression. They have to force themselves out of bed and build up the energy to face the day with a fake smile. This video talks about my depression. I want to create a series of videos talking about my depression and bipolar disorder to help others.

Pittsburgh Zoo

Image
This video is about a day in the Pittsburgh Zoo. It was incredibly hot and the animals weren't moving around a lot. The zoo is very nice and the staff are all pleasant to talk to. We went to the zoo on May 12, 2022. It was a fun day. The worst part of the day was the driving. In the video you can tell my excitement about finally arriving in Pittsburgh.

Funniest Questions to ask Someone

Image
This is one of the best vlogs/podcast we've made so far. We discuss weird news, music history, our picks are the funniest questions to ask someone and we discuss Nikkis weight loss surgery.

Weight Loss Surgery

In this video Nikki discusses the pre-op procedures involved in weight loss surgery. We discuss the doctors appointments, diets, and other special things needed before having the surgery done. She talks about what doctors appointments she had to attend, different classes she had to sit through, and her diet and what she was allowed to eat before surgery. This is a must watch for anyone thinking of having the surgery done.
